Getting started

What is YARD?+

YARD helps UK construction companies, merchants, manufacturers and suppliers recover value from surplus stock. Today we prepare professionally reviewed Recovery Assessments. The YARD marketplace is currently being built.

Do I need an account?+

No. You can upload a stock list or register for Early Access without creating one.

How much does it cost?+

Uploading a stock list and receiving a Recovery Assessment is free during Early Access.

What stock does YARD accept?+

Any product, any material, any manufacturer, any quantity, any project, any supplier. If you hold surplus construction stock, YARD will review it.

Recovery Assessments

How is the Recovery Assessment produced?+

It's professionally reviewed by the YARD Recovery Team. We review each list, assess current market demand, and identify recovery routes for your stock.

How long does it take?+

Most Recovery Assessments are turned around within 3-5 working days.

What file formats can I upload?+

CSV, XLSX and XLS files up to 50 MB. Any column layout is fine — the team will normalise it.

Data & security

Will my stock be visible to other companies?+

No. Your uploaded inventory remains completely confidential and is only used to prepare your Recovery Assessment. Nothing is published, shared or listed publicly without your explicit approval.

Is my data confidential?+

Yes. All uploads are stored securely and only accessed by the YARD Recovery Team for the purpose of preparing your assessment.

Can I request deletion of my data?+

Yes. Contact hello@yardtrade.co.uk at any time and we will remove your uploaded stock list and associated data. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

The marketplace

When does the marketplace launch?+

The YARD marketplace is currently being built. We're onboarding suppliers now. Early Access members will be notified first at launch.

Who will be able to buy on YARD?+

The marketplace is being built as a trade-only environment for verified UK construction companies, merchants and contractors.
